The political style of youthful governor of Kogi state is somewhat attracting some attention within the nation’s political firmament. Owing to his strategic placement as a political unifier and a bridgebuilder in Nigeria political space.
Although the youthful governor hasn’t set up a national structure to manage his campaign, the vibe being emitted from his persona is somewhat attracting people to his ambition and is gaining momentum across the country by the day.
The disenchantment about old generational leadership in the country has giving rise in search of a popular and acceptable youthful candidate towards finding a good leader to consolidate on the president Buhari legacy come 2023, especially within the All Progressives Congress APC parties and its stakeholders.
Recent events point towards the direction of Gov. Yahaya Bello fondly call GYB as the leader with the necessary impetus and popularity to lead the nation towards its greatness. This thinking is seen within the view of his remarkable achievements as governor and his intimidating legacy which has attracted many into his political ideology of building the youth for next generation leadership.
Under him, kogi state is a reference point when it comes to youths and women in leadership. No governor in Nigeria has ever giving youth and women a chance in governance like Gov. Bello.
Presently, GYB movement has completely taken over the entire northern political space rapidly spreading towards the south irrespective of political parties. Recent findings reveal that several dissatisfied members of the opposition People’s Democratic Party (PDP) are joining the APC in droves on a daily basis with the strong belief that GYB would provide the country with a strong leadership and that he would also unite the country.
Many Nigerians are more concerned about the unity and progress of the country, hence a generation shift needed to to build on the achievement of president Buhari.
Most members of the major ruling APC are favourably disposed to having GYB contest the Presidency as the party’s flagbearer in 2023. They hinged their belief on his political dexterity and popularity as well as the thinking that he remains the only individual that can bring about peace and unity in the country.
Many political analysts believe that his candidature would post a strong challenge for the opposition PDP to manage because of his intimidating political acceptability in the entire northern States and the country similar to that of incumbent President Muhammadu Buhari pre-2015.
As it stand today and the future, the youthful governor of Kogi state remain the rallying point and best option for APC in 2023 to deliver the much needed victory for the party.
